My experience from Lakeshore Family Dentistry has been exceptional. Everyone there is knowledgeable, competent and compassionate. The place is always bright, welcoming and I always feel comfortable when I’m there. The work I have had done on my teeth has always been of great quality. If I need to make an adjustment on my appointment, they are very accommodating. Love the place! Five stars!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Popelka’s since he took over the practice from Dr Bobsein. He’s the best technical dentist I’ve ever had & he’s a nice guy too. Also my hygienist Alexandra is excellent & very personable. I would highly recommend this practice.

This review is definitively a 5 star. It is a number of years now since I've had service provided by Dr. Popelka and what I can tell you is that his work is as strong today as it was 9 or more years ago when he did the work! He's such an amazing, talented and caring Dentist that I'm now ready to take a long distance trip just to be seen by him! I trust him that much and I know he's going to do his absolute best and then follow up on top of that! I feel so much anxiety because of the level of care that is necessary that the trip makes sense. Yes. He IS THAT GOOD!

Playing golf, whenever we get stuck behind a slow group dragging their feet and looking unhappy - I have said “Looks like they are going to the dentist!” No longer is this expression valid...

Going to the dentist had never been something I look forward to. But this has changed. My first visit with Dr. Popelka was very professional, thorough, even enjoyable. Selena, my hygienist, was a joy - even though she had lotsa work to do to clean up.

Having now returned for a cleaning after 6 months, Selena again did a wonderful job, and Dr. Popelka gave more that just a cursory look to make sure my dental health was good.

I’m looking forward to seeing the staff at Lakeshore Family and Cosmetic Dentistry again!

I came here, because I saw the professional billboards and received an inviting letter. We moved here recently, and I am so impressed with this practice! Everyone you encounter is nice and explains everything. I broke a tooth and in no time Dr. Popelka fixed it with a crown. No pain, it feels better than my original tooth! Highly recommend!

If you need to have a root canal, Lakeshore is the place to go. Dr. Popelka and his team keep the process moving right along. They are cheerful and pleasant as they work, which creates a pleasant atmosphere for the patient, no matter what procedure you are undergoing.

Fantastic office!

I originally chipped my front tooth when I was about 12 yrs old and have had several repairs over my lifetime...now it's time for a crown. The tooth was ground down and a temporary crown was fitted. I have to say, I've never had ANY pain with any procedure (including root canals and extractions) that Dr. Popelka has done. Try him...he's a keeper! :)

I recently made a switch in my dentist. I am so happy that I did. This office and all of its staff is excellent. When you walk in it has very relaxing music playing. There décor is very relaxing also. All staff is pleasant and greets you with a smile. They are very knowledgeable and good at what they do. I love that they tell me what they are doing and why throughout the whole process. :-)

Alex is great. She does a great job and I always feel like my teeth are extremely clean when I leave. The only suggestion I have to improve is to not have to wait so long after the cleaning for the dentist to come in and check your status.

I came in to have a few crowns, a root canal and an implant surgery. It was a longer appointment, but Dr. Popelka and his team were fantastic! They made the time go by fast, and I did not have any discomfort. They talked me through everything and explained as were moving along.

had a lower permanent bridge installed was worried i crack it or cement was left. Dr. Propelka assured me all was fine and it was a seam in the bridge. He polished the area and i was on my way. Thank you very much Lake shore staff Bill V.

Here's the story....broke a tooth eating a cookie (some sort of punishment, perhaps?). Called immediately and got in for assessment in a day. Sadly I needed a root canal to save the tooth and a crown to fix up the broken part. The (root canal) process was little more than a cavity-filling from my perspective. It was interesting how Sandro worked with new tools and materials to make it both (largely) painless and a rugged fix. The crown took a couple of weeks to complete but fit perfectly first time w/o adjustments. So glad we have this quality of dental care in Canandaigua.

Had my teeth cleaning for the first time by Selena, she did an amazing job! My teeth feel very clean without any discomfort.
She also gave me great tips of how to improve my brushing and flossing technique. Dr. Popelka was personable, professional and also very informative. He was telling what snacking does to your teeth and that sweetener is just as bad as sugar for your teeth, who would have known!
Highly recommend those folks!

I just want to say thank you for being so incredibly good at what you do. I have struggled with a hyperactive gag reflex my entire life, which has made dental visits quite difficult, not to mention embarrassing. I am very fortunate to have found Dr Popelka and his fantastic staff.... from Genel and Anna up front, to Diane and Lauren who assist with treatment, they are all true professionals who have a passion for what they do. There is a level of caring that is very genuine, and is clearly part of the culture within this highly competent team. For those of you that have considered but not yet tried sedation dentistry, I would encourage you to do so. It has allowed for much more to be done at each visit, which I appreciate since I live almost an hour away. It has also taken my apprehension level to zero! My sincere thanks to all of you for helping me to work towards the smile I have always dreamed about, but thought was never possible. Now I know that it is! See you all at my next visit, which believe it or not, I actually look forward to!!

I had in-office whitening done by One of the hygienist and she really did an amazing job! Thank you! Dr. P. and the rest of the team where very professional -as always- and made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend it!

Your staff always gets us in for emergencies in a timely manner. Two days after return from vacation, the crown was popped back on my tooth. Cautionary measures were taken to rule out problems prior to the replacement.

I had full mouth extraction, implants, and full dentures. My care was outstanding throughout the complete process. They were kind and compassionate, always conscious of my needs. Dr. Popelka was always available to me when I needed him. I world highly recommend them!!!!
